Bowl for Kids' Sake 2014
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City
July 9-11 and July 14-19
Park Lanes (Regular) and Z Strike (VIP)
Unlike many charity fundraisers, there is no training needed to participate in Summer Bowl for Kids' Sake. In fact, anytime you are drinking a beer or soda or eating pizza you are 'training' for Summer Bowl. You do not have to be a good bowler, the score does not even matter. It is all about having fun and helping kids in Kansas City.
Summer Bowl for Kids' Sake is Big Brothers Big Sisters' largest fundraiser, attracting over 2,000 participants each year. Participants form a team of six bowlers. These bowlers raise money by gathering pledges or donations from friends, family, and co-workers. Pledges can be collected prior to the event or a sponsor may be billed after the event by Big Brothers Big Sisters. Each participant is provided a pledge sheet and the tools to create a personalized Webpage that enables them to collect donations online.
Next, the designated Team Captain selects a bowling day and time that works best for their team. There are 18 available sessions from July 9-11 & 14-19, 2014. Once you choose a session, your team simply shows up at the bowling alley, turn in collected money and pledge sheets, and enjoy a fun party with free beer, soda, pizza, prizes, music, cosmic bowling, and more.
Whether it's a group of friends, your entire family, or a corporate team builder, Summer Bowl for Kids' Sake is a fun and simple way to help out Big Brothers Big Sisters. Once you've experienced how fun and simple it really is, we are sure you will want to participate year after year.
